111 Free tattoos
On the 1st of April 2023 we had the honour of doing 111 free tattoos to anyone and everyone going through depression, anxiety, abuse and any form of mental illness.
When Covid hit we had no idea the weight it would carry; many people lost loved ones, homes, businesses and much more. We wanted to give back, but how? Well, with art you can say many things, without speaking at all. We found that tattoos were a small reminder of our strength, of our faith and will power to push on inspit the weight and loss we have endured.
What started as a simple idea slowly snowballed into something greater. We soon approached potential sponsors and recieved an amazing feedback from our supplier (TattooINC) and a client who became family, (Amy). We then reached out to East Coast Radio and to our surprise they were happy to jump on board!
With only three artists available to tattoo, we were able to do 111 free tattoos, we found the croud soon found comfort amoungst each other, the idea that they are not alone was comforting. Although we were unable to accomaodate everyone who came through we hope to see them in 2024!
Please note that if you are going though any form of depression, anxiety ect. seeking proffesional help is essential as we believe Tattoos are a small way to help, but medical advice is advised.
